La Costa: 4 nights / 3 rounds of golf
La Costa is set on 400 rolling acres in the coastal foothills of Carlsbad, near San Diego in California. It has the village-like ambience of a Spanish colonial town - white walls and terracotta tiled roofs - that give you a warm feeling as you arrive knowing that your golf vacation will be an unforgettable experience. Originally opened in 1965, La Costa has recently completed a top-to-bottom, multi-million-dollar redevelopment. It now boasts the newly designed Spa at La Costa, completely remodeled guestrooms, a Clubhouse with a fitness center, the Costa Del Sol Ballroom, and two restaurants (Legends and BlueFire Grill). The entire resort is linked by walkways and washed in color by lush vegetation and gardens. Carlsbad enjoys year-round sunny, warm weather with average temperatures in the 70s.

La Costa:
These courses are really of championship caliber. Since 1999, La Costa has hosted the "Accenture Match Play Championship" featuring the top-64 ranked players in the world in a single-elimination format. Exciting do-or-die golf matches played over five days. The now 7400-yard "Championship Course" is a composite of the two golf resort courses. The front nine includes the back-nine holes of the South Course, whereas the back nine includes holes #1 through #3, and #13 through #18 of the North Course. These 18 holes comprise the original course designed by architect Dick Wilson. 
The courses meander through acres of scenic land, with multimillion dollar houses overlooking the bermuda grass fairways. The layout is criss-crossed by small creeks and protected by medium sized ponds on several holes. And when water doesn't come into play, golfers must confront deep-faced, high-lipped, sand bunkers around the bent-grass greens. Slope 74.4 (both) / rating 138 (North), 137 (south)
The luxurious Spa at La Costa is designed in Spanish-colonial style, with feng shui features throughout. It offers 28,000 square feet of indoor space and a 15,000-square-foot outdoor courtyard. Its design allows guests to feel connected to the outdoors even when indoors. The spa boasts 42 treatment rooms, including two VIP suites for couples, and many interactive wet amenities both indoors and out. Among these are a pool, a Roman waterfall shoulder-pounding massage and sunbathing areas.
